Cabasa

The ‘Cabasa’ is played by shaking or turning/rolling the instrument. Intricate movements of the hand can be used or large movements on the body/thigh, producing rustling and rattling sounds. From soft background noise to loud taking the lead percussion this instrument is a must have to create atmosphere.
Metal beads on listels move around the cylindric body which is plated with metal foil.
