Tin Can Kalimba is a combination of traditional instrument craftsmanship with the resourcefulness and ingenuity of turning rubbish into resource. The Keys (called Tines) are made from repurposed metal and the tuning can be adjusted by moving these up or down., tiny slices of tin cans are positioned on the keys for resonance and vibration, the frame is made from used coffee tins. Kalimba’s are a very easy and intuitive instrument to play.
